Gilad Shalit Typography project

I attempted to show the days as they go by since Gilad Shalit’s kidnapping in the span of a 1000 days. The time was split into D=days, H=hours, M=minutes and S=seconds. Every page shows a different event that was reported on the news and the date it took place since Gilad’s abduction. Every black page represents a year gone by since Gilad’s kidnapping. With the use of infographics, you can see all these events sorted by year. the specific month and the day within that month. This project was shown a different mediums such as a poster, a book and a 3D installation in OCAD - Toronto.

Infographics can be used to show a lot of information in a small, artistic space. This can be applied to anything from political activism to Foxybingo.com statistics.
